OpenHockey Engine

Training should be Fun and Affordable. The OpenHockey Engine is an at home simulator that can be setup with a computer, camera, and projetor onto a shooting surface.

What is OpenHockey Engine?

OpenHockey Engine is a game built from the ice up to provide a simulator experience at an affordable price. My goals with this project were originally come up with ways to make hockey fun for my son. Asking your kid to go shoot at the net everyday may work for the most motivated individuals, but I wanted to find a way to gamify at-home practice and training so kids want to shoot.

  • Different goalie positions and net angles providing various shot opportunities
  • Arcade mode with different game modes such as "Moving Targets"
  • Features for coaching such as a timer to timebox practice sessions
  • Works with most webcams and affordable projectors
